The company Logo is designed around the famous Morris Island Lighthouse near Charleston, South Carolina. This Lighthouse has been featured in the design of an United States Postal Stamp. Time and forces of erosion from the ocean are threatening this grand old structure. You are invited to visit the web site of the Morris Island Lighthouse and learn much more.

The Morris Island Lighthouse was constructed between March 1873 and October 1876 on high ground. Progressive erosion has resulted in the tower now perched precariously in water approximately 1500 feet offshore. Now isolated in the shallow waters of Lighthouse Inlet, the tower is subject to ocean forces and tidal currents, and shifting sandbars can be observed around its base. Built on a timber foundation, marine borers have damaged several of the pilings holding up the 3200 ton lighthouse.

Beacon Graphics picked the Morris Island lighthouse because it has stood up against the elements and continues to stand strong even today.

Just as a lighthouse is a "Beacon of Light", Beacon Graphics believes that good designs can light the way to increased sales and knowledge about an item, a place, or a destination. Click on the link below to see samples of designs that Beacon Graphics has done for others.
